Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe (1886-1969), he was born in Aachen, Germany. Mies spent his first pert of career in Aachen, Mies Van Der Rohe made his first work in his neighbour hood when he first independent received commission from the owners of Riehl House when he was just 20 years old. He became the leading figure in the avant-grande life of Berlin. He had great respect from other european countries, In 1930 he was called to be the director of the Bauhaus instead of Walter Gropius. He was the director of the Nazi wanted to close the school. Mies Van Der Rohe was also the director for the Chicago School of Architecture. He was a good architect teacher first he taught the students how to draw, then gain the knowledge of the features and use of the buildler´s materials, and then master the principles of design and construction. He was award to redesign the campus and it buildings. Mies Van Der Rohe had a quote that he said that ´more is less´. He contributed to the modern urban landscape can´t be overlooked. Mies Van Der Rohe was given the Presidential Medal of freedom in 1963 by President Lyndon Johnson. In 1966 Mies Van Der Rohe began suffering from cancer of the oesophagus. He died three years later in Chicago 1969.

Max Bill
Max Bill trained as a silversmith in Zurich for 3 years. He studied at the Bauhaus school in Dessau under Josef Albers, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and other, 1929 Max moved back to Zurich were he was working as a graphic designer, painter, architect, sculpture and later also a product designer. First painting of Max were just landscape and portraits but in 1931 he start experiment with geometric abstraction. He was a member of the Parisian group from 1932 to 1936. In 1937 he worked on a monograph on Le Corbusier and entered the associated of modern Swiss artist ´Allianz` Max tried to continue the tradition of the Bauhaus in Switzerland. He went to Hamburg to taught environmental design in 1967. His name is associated with ´Concrete Art´ and ´Environmental Design´.
